NURS 525: Collaborative Management for the AGACNP II

Class Program
Credits 4

This course is the second in a series which focuses on the advanced collaborative management of adult and geriatric populations with complex acute and chronic multisystem health conditions within the acute care setting. Emphasis is placed on the synthesis of complex data along with evidence-based guidelines and research to manage patients with higher acuity and physiological instability. Students will evaluate and refine diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making strategies for patients with overlapping acute-on-chronic illnesses. Consideration is given to the ethical implications of therapeutic regimens while addressing the culturally sensitive needs of diverse and underserved populations. Students will implement and manage sophisticated pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions while advancing their systems-level leadership skills to coordinate care for the unstable patient across the healthcare continuum.
