The course builds upon principles of general pharmacology with emphasis on clinical pharmacology including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of medications commonly used in the practice of anesthesia. The principles of managing monitored anesthesia and conscious sedation are introduced. This course will include fluid and blood management and anesthesia effects on hemodynamic parameters with appropriate interventions.
